Hi! I’m Amber!
I’m happy you stopped by my little piece of the internet. In short- I’m a wife, mother, ordained minister, and a hospital chaplain of 18 years (specializing in perinatal bereavement, mental health and women’s health). I’m also a friend, breast cancer survivor, beginner gardener and hopeful homesteader/farmer. I am working to consciously, with intention, live out this thing called life.
My joy is living in a hundred year old family farmhouse with my little family on 41 acres of family land, surrounded by extended family. I have come to find solace, peace and joyful comfort living in a small farm town, while working in a bustling city a ways away. This blog is about my life, my loves, random thoughts/rants, hospital chaplaincy, surviving cancer, books I read and find meaningful, and living the life I’ve been given the best I can while loving my family and being a good steward of the land and God’s creation.
I am an evolving human work in progress, with an evolving faith, and live by the words: Love God, Love People. ALL people. ALL Souls Are Welcome Here. I am welcoming and affirming of all genders and non-binary folx, orientations, ethnicities and races, faith and spiritualities, and my pronouns are she/her/hers.
Disclaimer: I don’t think I’ll ever get consistent at this blogging thing, but I like to have somewhere to collect and invest my thoughts and get these things that are in me, out somewhere.
